Room 118 Solutions - Web Application Development & Programming

With a passion for Web technology and over 30 years combined experience, we welcome any Web development challenge.

During their senior year of college, Chris and Jim would often meet in room 118 at the New York Institute of Technology to work on their senior project together. It was in that room that they discovered their shared passion for web technologies. Chris and Jim had already been developing freelance throughout college, so after graduating, they decided to team up and form Room 118 Solutions, and have been loving it ever since! They’re based out of Long Island, NY, but work with customers around the globe.

Chris Gunther

Chris has been developing for the web for over four years, but began tinkering with PHP and Visual Basic long before. Originally getting his start in PHP, he's now rediscovered his passion for programming with Ruby on Rails. His dreams are sometimes haunted by the semantics of his latest markup.

When he's not coding, Chris can be found taking in a Yankees game, cheering on the Jets, learning new chords on the guitar, or cycling all around town.

Jim Ryan

Jim Ryan

Jim has been working with computers for as long as he can remember. He started programming when he was 12, and developed his first web application for hire when he was 16. Jim is as adept with hardware as he is with software. He's worked with countless languages on a variety of platforms, from gaming consoles to Android handsets to desktop applications, but his first and true love will always be the Web. For Jim, coding is more than a hobby or a job, it's his passion.

When he's not at his computer (which is rare), Jim's exploring Manhattan or enjoying a nice (gluten-free) meal with friends. He loves meeting new people, whether it be at home or when traveling the globe. Jim tries to learn something new everyday.
